Social & Environmental Impact Statement

Colibri Digital Marketing, a virtual digital marketing agency, has created a business model that is inherently environmentally low-impact. Our work does not require cars or create emissions on a large scale.

We are a certified LGBTBE, and we are women-owned and run and, as such, intend to stand as leaders in the quest for equal pay for equal work and the value of women’s work, along with fundamental human rights for the LGBT community.

Slave labor is typically used to provide the necessary minerals to create cell phones, computers, and other devices essential to our work.

Therefore, we intend to reduce these practices and provide alternatives.

We would like to:

  • Improve the status and income of women as leaders and employees
  • End slave labor for the creation of electronics
  • Improve the quality and income of the LGBT (business) community

Our plan is to:

  • Identify appropriate organizations that align with these goals
  • Provide financial contributions to these organizations
  • Provide in-kind donations of services to these organizations
  • Financially support our employees in volunteering for the organizations of their choice

Current Commitments

We seek to work with other B Corps, not-for-profit organizations, small businesses, and diverse suppliers as a general commitment. Specifically, we are taking the actions outlined below.

Social Objectives:

  • Membership in GGBA and NGLCC
  • Financial contributions to Hip Hop for Change
  • Financial assistance to New Venture Fund

Environmental Objectives:

  • Purchase carbon offsets for marketing team travel (to be determined at the end of each fiscal year)
  • Encourage subcontractors to participate in positive social and environmental impact.
  • Purchased 100% renewable energy for our headquarters and to power the computer and phone using PG&E’s Solar Choice program
  • Maintain a paperless office.

We will revisit our policies and achievements every year and publish these on our blog so that our clients and the community can be inspired and/or suggest improvements.

Colibri Digital Marketing will report annually on its social and environmental performance. The report will include Colibri Digital Marketing’s B Impact Score and provide updates on key areas, including Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers. The report will be published on Colibri Digital Marketing’s website.
